Privacy Policy

SOS – Save Our Schools is the volunteer committee asking Telluride voters to approve Measure 5A on November 3, 2026. This page explains what this website collects, what it uses it for, and what you can ask us to change.

What you tell us

Depending on how you use the site, you may give us: your name, email and (if you choose) phone number when you sign up for updates; your name and phone number when you ask us to call you back; your name and street address when you ask for a yard sign; your first and last name when you add yourself to the supporter list; and a first name and a short story when you post to the Student Voices wall.

What we record automatically

When you send us something we also note the time and the internet address (IP) it came from, so we can spot robots and stop anyone from flooding the forms. This site loads no advertising or tracking scripts, so nothing follows you from site to site.

What we use it for

To send you campaign updates if you asked for them, to call you back, to deliver a yard sign, to show your name on the supporter list, and to read and approve student stories before anything appears in public. We do not sell, rent or trade your information.

Your consent, and changing your mind

We only email, call or text you after you check the box saying you agree. If you want off the list, email info@sostelluride.org and we take you off. To correct or remove a supporter name or a student story, the same address works.

Student Voices

The wall is meant for students. We ask for a first name only — never a last name, email, grade, phone number, or a classmate's private information. An organizer reads every story before it is published, and any of them can be edited or taken down. Please ask a parent or guardian before posting.

Who can see your information

Organizers of this campaign who hold a sign-in to the private dashboard. We may also have to report or hand over information if a court, the county, or the campaign-disclosure rules of the Colorado Secretary of State require it.

Other sites

Donations are handled by a separate fundraising site (politics.raisethemoney.com) and Walk & Talk has its own site (walktalk5a.org). Once you leave this page, those sites' own policies apply.

How long we keep it

For as long as the campaign needs it. If you ask us to delete something, we delete it from the campaign's records, apart from anything we are required to keep by law.

Written in plain language by campaign volunteers so you know exactly what happens to what you tell us. It is not legal advice.
